Milt Brown is founder and Chairman of Corporate Security Associates, LLC (CSA), a Phoenix, Arizona based security management consulting firm. Milt is focused on providing best-in-class security consulting services to the health care industry.
Prior to CSA, Milt retired after 18 years as Chief Security Officer for Caremark Rx, (CMX) a leading independent health care provider. In this capacity, Milt was responsible for directing security planning, development and implementation for this Fortune 60 Company. He maintained oversight of policy development, corporate investigations, physical security, workplace violence, security awareness training, security assessments, executive protection, security systems design, and technical security countermeasures.
From 1983 through 1985, as Director of the National Crime Prevention Institute (NCPI) at the University of Louisville, Milt directed all national training programs targeted toward proactive police and community involvement in the prevention of criminal activity.
Milt served 20 years as a career officer in the U.S. Army. As a Lieutenant Colonel, he retired in 1983 after completing two combat tours in Vietnam and numerous command and staff assignments. His primary areas of responsibility included aviation, infantry and special operations.
Milt is board certified as a Certified Security Professional (CPP), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Homeland Security â€“ Level V (CHS-V). He was granted life membership in the American Society for Industrial Security and the International Security Management Association. Milt was selected as a member of the Emeritus Faculty for The Security Executive Council. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska and M.A. from Central Michigan University.
