Education / Research Partners

     Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina

The Moore School is known for its outstanding leadership in international business education and research. Located in the business school of University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. Founded in 1919, it currently enrolls students in degree-seeking programs including bachelor, masters and doctorate degrees.

     Kennesaw State University - Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development

The KSU Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance as recognized by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. Courses offered include Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Security and Assurance, Graduate Certificate in Information Security and Criminal Justice Degrees examining Technology and CyberCrime.

     Mercyhurst University - Ridge College

The Mercyhurst University applied intelligence program is the oldest and largest of its kind in the United States. With three concentrations that focus on business, law enforcement, and national security, intelligence students learn to employ diverse language, research and critical-thinking skills as well as cultural knowledge and structured analytic techniques to collect, analyze and deliver actionable intelligence products individually and as part of a team. Learning is anchored through faculty/student engagements with real world customers in both public and private sectors, via contracts and defined research projects, designed to solve complex risk, security and information sharing challenges for organizations in many sectors and verticals.

     Michigan State University, School of Criminal Justice

MSU has the nation's oldest continuous degree granting program in Criminal Justice. Developed by Rad Jones and the MSU staff, their Critical Incident Protocol newsletter is for those interested in learning more about public-private partnerships for emergency preparedness, prevention and planning. The school also offers online certificate programs and masters degrees in Security Management, Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis geared toward security professionals in the private and public sectors.

     Data Guidance

DataGuidance has been created to make data protection and privacy compliance simpler. We do three things to help organizations large and small comply: 1) We bring together all the legislation, official guidance and codes of practice in one place, 2) Provide DataGuidance Notes, written by data protection experts, in a language you can understand to provide advice on key issues such as e-mail marketing, employee monitoring and data breaches and 3) We have made all this fast to find.

SIA is a nonprofit international trade association representing electronic and physical security product manufacturers, specifiers, and service providers. SIA promotes growth and professionalism within the security industry by providing education, research, technical standards and representation and defense of its members' interests. SIA is the sole sponsor of the International Security Conference and Exhibitions (ISC EXPOs).
