Director of Operations, Global Security

The Director of Operations is a key and dynamic senior leadership position that directly manages the strategic planning, staffing, administration, and daily management of eBayâ€™s Global Security guard deployments and regional security operation centers (RSOCs). The selected candidate will lead the development, implementation, and management of eBayâ€™s security process and procedures, emergency readiness planning, and access control, under the guidance of the Senior Director of Global Security. Qualifications:
The staff under the Directorâ€™s leadership manage the uniform and non-uniformed physical security, safety, and special event requirements throughout locations within the United States and globally. The ideal candidate will drive the implementation of strategic and tactical plans targeted at improving overall company safety compliance, as well as identifying, evaluating, mitigating and responding to threats and risks.
Provide direction and oversight for global security guard deployments, regional security operations centers, and emergency readiness functions.
Develop and implement eBayâ€™s operational security policy and procedures, ensuring consistency with industry best practices.
Manage operational budgets, financial reporting, and third party vendor contracts for areas of responsibility.
Initiate and oversee emergency-response actions in the event of crisis, emergencies, or threats to the company and employees.
Develop, review and revise policies, plans, and programs to protect eBayâ€™s facilities, properties, materials, and employees, including security risk assessments, crisis management planning, and access control.
Plan and execute staff-wide communication and training on security procedures and emergency preparedness.

Bachelorâ€™s Degree or equivalent Military/Law Enforcement training and experienceHow to Apply:
10+ years of experience in positions within private sector corporate security or a related public sector organization, including 5 years of managerial experience
Minimum of 3 years experience overseeing international security operations
Proven expertise in physical security, security guard deployments, and regional operations centers
Strong organizational, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach, train and motivate colleagues at various levels
Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation
Possess a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
