This position will provide strategic leadership oversight to enable the management of enterprise-wide corporate employee security operations within Lincoln Financial Group. This individual will be responsible for leading and setting the strategic direction necessary to evaluate and assess risk related directly or indirectly to the core operations of the business and safety of our employees and resources.

Execution

Establishes an enterprise critical incident management and governance strategy affecting Lincoln employees and leadership including training, exercises and coordination across multiple areas of the business.

Develops and oversees an employee crisis management strategy that includes business recovery, internal and external communication strategies and methodologies, rapid notification and response protocols to ensure engagement of all key parties, employees & the public in conjunction with the Enterprise Crisis Management Team (ECMT), Key Cities Crisis Management Teams (CMT), Corporate Communications & Facilities.

Develops, implements and maintains an overall employee security strategy and provides leadership to manage the enterprise-wide physical security initiatives.

Oversees threat identification, assessment and response for the enterprise.

Develops & implements physical security protocols for our employees on site & while traveling.

Serves as a key member of Lincoln’s Threat Assessment Team (TAT).

Oversees the development of employee security policies and procedures.

Monitors, audits and evaluates the operational effectiveness of the corporate security program, to include periodic site visits, reports and recommendations.

Qualifications:

12+ Years progressive experience in corporate employee security with a law enforcement or military background a plus

5+ Years of management, strategy, and influencing senior management/critical stakeholder experience

Ability to effectively resolve difficult disputes and business challenges using highly refined functional, partnering and leadership skills.

Demonstrated experience as a thought leader. Will be able to demonstrate being sought after for advice, counsel, and judgment.

Proven experience leading the strategic Employee Security function for a company with multiple locations

Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives and results.

Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement processes improvements.

Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior/executive management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.

Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
