Manager, Information Technology (Cybersecurity)Organization:
Under the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Cybersecurity (Information Security) Manager assists with the development and delivery of an information security architecture, program and strategic plans for Auburn University. The scope of this program is university-wide, and the purpose is to protect University information and its infrastructure from threats; ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University data; and that the University complies with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:Oversee and manage a team of security specialists to provide systems and network security monitoring, penetration testing, firewall and related infrastructure management, network traffic analysis, and security consulting for the University community. Mentor security staff within the group. Consult with leadership on security matters such as security framework, policies/procedures, and strategic planning. The current Cybersecurity Office is comprised of the CISO, the Cybersecurity Manager, 6 additional Cyber professionals and student workers.

Desired qualifications include: experience in managing an information security department, technical knowledge of information technology, information security practices and advanced degrees. Experience with PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, and FERPA is desirable. Information security-oriented certification (CISSP or CISM). Certification must be obtained within six months of hire as a condition of continued employment. United States Government Security Clearance preferred.How to Apply:
