ResponsibilitiesThe mission of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is to establish and provide assistance and guidance on the use of technology-supported business process reengineering; investment analysis; performance measurement; strategic development and application of information systems and infrastructure; policies to provide improved management of information resources and technology; and better, more efficient service to our clients and employees. The Deputy CIO supports and facilitates the duties, responsibilities, and authority of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on matters relating to information technology and ensures that OCIO technology programs support the Agency's objectives.

EducationA degree in computer science, engineering, information science, technology management, business or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above, or equivalent IT experience. The experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training.
QualificationsAs a basic requirement, applicants must demonstrate progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level managerial capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Professional/Technical Qualifications and Executive Core Qualifications listed below. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the equivalent of the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service or its equivalent with state and local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations. Failure to meet this basic qualification requirement and all executive and technical qualification factors will automatically exclude you from further consideration.
