A role within Corporate Security means maintaining the physical security of our team members and property at our various facilities and locations. Here, you may support Target’s crises operations and continuity planning that provides guidance and procedures in the event of emergencies such as catastrophic weather.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of experience as a licensed peace officer
  • Ability to meet the qualifications required for certification as an Armed Security Officer (ASO) in accordance with the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP)
  • Experience in executive protection or corporate security
  • Relevant experience in a private-sector multi-national, matrixed organization or related public sector experience
  • Unquestioned personal and business integrity with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion, and decision making ability
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely with little or no direct supervision
  • Proven decision making ability under stress and during emergency situations
  • Able to effectively communicate with and influence senior leadership
  • Experience in fundamental business skills and proficiency in standard office software programs
  • Ability to balance operational and security needs with business and cultural goals
  • Familiarity with security technology and protective tools
  • Experience conducting investigations
  • EMT-B certification or ability to achieve one within first year
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must be available to support a work schedule that will vary from week to week, to include nights, weekends and holidays
