The Safety & Loss Control Manager is responsible for the Company's Safety and General Insurance (WC, GL, Auto, Property) programs. Primary responsibilities include reduction of preventable employee and customer accidents through claim analysis and management, with the goal of containing costs in these categories. This position formulates recommendations to drive the implementation of best practices and process improvement in loss reduction for all areas of the Company.


  • Form strategies to engage retail stores and restaurants in creating a safe work environment
  • Create training programs and policies designed to educate retail and restaurant management on safety/worker's compensation compliance and Implement training programs via Company LMS platform
  • Work with management teams and associates on utilizing Company Return to Work program to ensure alignment with Company Strategy. Provide safety enhancement recommendations and processes to implement policy changes as a response to accident cause analysis review
  • Oversee and assist in filing of Worker's Compensation, Property, General Liability and Auto Claims
  • Coordinate and lead Worker's Compensation Reviews with Insurance Company and Broker
  • Partner with Human Resources to address return to work accommodations and insure proper documentation of loss time in HRIS system
  • Maintain reporting compliance with OSHA regulations and address all OSHA inquiries in partnership with legal department
  • Understand and drive regulatory compliance with individual state (U.S.), province (Canada) and island (Caribbean) safety programs where Paradies Lagardre operates.

Bachelor's degree required or 5 years experience in lieu of bachelor's degree

  • Minimum three (3) years progressive safety and/or risk management experience
  • Degree in Safety/Risk Management or related area preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 7/365 day team oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively using the English language
  • Presentation skills required
  • Travel outside of the Atlanta metro area will be required on a monthly basis
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder, and walking long distances
  • Able to prioritize numerous tasks and adapt to unexpected situations simultaneously
  • Proficient computer use and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to pass the Federal Criminal History Records Check, the Paradies background check and the applicable Department of Transportation requirements#LI-JB1
