The Chief of Security is responsible for managing and leading a team of professional officers providing law enforcement, access control, physical security, locksmith services, emergency management, K9 detection and tracking, SWAT emergency response operations, marine patrol, weapons training facility, and police administration for a US Government, commercial industry and contract employee population of over 12,000, on a federal installation encompassing 219 square miles. Responsible for maintaining relationships with Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US National Park Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and US Air Force’s 45th Space Wing. Active Top Secret security clearance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professionally manage a comprehensive security services program in compliance with client security prodecures and requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and implement a Security Program Plan
  • Meet the requirements of the contract, delivering high quality services that align with the needs of the customer and in accordance with applicable statues and industry best management practices
  • Prepare, review, distribute maintain General Orders, Post Orders, and emergency and special orders for each security post and position
  • Manage force of armed Security Police Officers to safeguard personnel and material resources located on client property
  • Completely understand the operational requirements of the contract to include the requirements of Emergency Management, Protective Services, K-9, SWAT, Emergency Response and Training


  • Bachelor’s degree in related security or management field
  • 10 Years of management experience in security or police industry
  • Experience managing at minimum, 50 personnel
  • Proven leadership skills in program management, collaborating with others, as well as excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written), ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Five years of experience in an education or training environment preferred
  • Experience with K-9 program preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive medical examination, psychological and drug screening;
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
