The Director Aviation Security provides technical operational leadership in support of unifi’s commitment to safety and security. This position actively manages risk mitigation efforts to eliminate the potential for security related risks. A qualified candidate requires familiarity with pertinent regulations including TSA, CBP, FAA, state and local regulations. The Security Director requires a strong commitment to developing and applying security procedures with knowledge of processes within the aviation environment. Knowledge of standard security policies, programs and procedures are essential for a successful candidate for this position.


Represent unifi across all lines of business in matters related to aviation security to customers and regulatory agencies Lead and support investigations into matters related to the TSA, CBP, and Airport Security Directors, take actions including:

  • Supporting the development of effective corrective actions for security related incidents
  • Review, edit & approve corrective actions
  • Draft and submit responses to regulatory agencies and/or customers with the objective of eliminating or mitigating civil penalties

Monitor the regional and global security environment, determine relevant impacts and stay up to date on regulatory changes

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Aviation Safety or related qualitative field is required. Three six (6) years of experience in the field of aviation security program management strong leadership experience is required.
Ability to formulate and execute comprehensive strategies/programs that will ensure consistency throughout the Company while ensuring a safe work environment
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and influence people across all functional areas.
  • Outstanding facilitator and communicator; lead innovation by teaching, consensus-building, and project execution.

Solid decision-maker with excellent analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and be self-starting on tasks within area of expertise.
Strong technical and business writing skills
Proficient and experienced user of Office 365 apps/programs (Word, Power Point, SharePoint), including managing and manipulating data using Excel


Experience in airline/aviation-specific operations with creating, implementing, and improving region/division/company-wide safety programs and compliance
Experience with creating data visualization and analysis using software (Power BI / Tableau / Spotfire)
Experience with industry-standard environment, health, and safety digital safety management systems (Gensuite)
