Develop and maintain security policies, systems and processes to ensure safety and security of BCBSM. Collaborate with subsidiaries to develop and implement security protocols consistent with enterprise objectives. Oversee routine trainings, drills and response plans for all BCBSM facilities in case of severe weather, fires, intruders, etc. Prepare security and protection plans for company events hosted at on or off-site locations. Collaborate with employees, key event stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, the community etc. to identify and prevent threats to our business. See more online.


Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Management or related field is required. A minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience is required. Previous experience in federal, state or local law enforcement is preferred. Knowledge of security controls, frameworks and systems. Strong analytical skills, ability to anticipate scenarios and develop strategy options while remaining open minded to alternatives. Knowledge of emergency and response planning. Ability to accurately interpret a situation and respond quickly in cases of emergencies. Ability to coordinate with and support federal, state, local, public and private entities.
