Security Executive Council's Next Generation Security Leader Event: Framing the Future of Global, All-Hazards Risk Mitigation

The Next Generation Security Leader ™ (NGSL) event is coming to Atlanta, February 2016. This event is an interactive seminar covering topics selected by leading CSO practitioners for the best and brightest security leaders in the industry. The collective knowledge of those participating in the event guarantee the content will include the most valuable leading edge information on enterprise all-hazards security available.

The conversations during this session will be leveraging forces of change in all-hazards risk mitigation to support global brand leadership. Marshalling effective people, processes and technology goes beyond attracting, developing and retaining talent. It entails active engagement with cross-functional brand leaders, diverse strategic thinkers and persuasive contributors; the NGSL program is the best way to develop your security leadership skills.

8:15 - 9:00 AM – Orientation and Participation Introductions
SEC Emeritus Faculty, Dean Correia, Francis D’Addario and a designated Delta Air Lines Executive welcome event faculty and attendees.

9:00 – 9:15 – NGSL Kick–Off
John Laughter, SVP Safety, Security, and Compliance, Delta Air Lines, will share his thoughts on the importance of managing risk by utilizing a Safety and Security Management System.

9:15 - 10:30 AM - Evolving an All-hazards Risk Framework
Bob Hayes, Managing Director, Security Executive Council (former CSO Georgia Pacific) and Randy Harrison, Managing Director Delta Air Lines Corporate Security lead an executive cross-functional subject matter expert panel. Risk mitigation frameworks enable brands, cross-functional mitigators, regulatory agencies and their stakeholders to communicate and collaborate for operational excellence.

10:45 - 12:00 AM - Developing an Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS)
SEC Emeritus Faculty members Joe Carlon and John Piper (former US Secret Service and ExxonMobil Global Security, respectively) lead an expert panel revisiting the framing of OIMS. Participants will gain an understanding of the rigorous 11-point framework that puts safety at the center and uniformly drives performance structure, discipline and accountability to all operations.

1:30 - 2:45 PM - Informing Other Frameworks – Cyber, Food Defense, ISO 31000 and and Ops Excellence
SEC Emeritus Faculty Mark Lex (former CSO Abbott Labs, Grainger, Kraft Foods) joins Faculty Content Experts, Sean Dettloff (formerly Amazon Corporate Security), Professor Herb Mattord (Kennesaw State University) and Ray Gerwitz, Director of Risk Strategy and Operational Excellence, UTP MD Anderson Cancer Center to explore evolving regulatory expectations from Food Defense, Information Security, ISO 31000 and internal governance initiatives.

3:00 - 4:15 PM - Attracting, Developing and Retaining Multi-generational Talent Teams
SEC Emeritus Faculty Francis D’Addario (former CSO Starbucks Coffee) and Dean Correia (former Director of Corporate Security Wal-Mart Canada) join Mary De Angelo, Vice President, Global Emergency Operations Center, AON, and Nichole Barnes Marshall, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion, AON, to explore proven practices for all phases of the talent management cycle.

4:15 - 5:30 PM - Insider Threat Tool Kit Update
With Bob Hayes, SEC Emeritus Faculty George Campbell (former CSO Fidelity Investments), Chief William Adcox, CSO MD Anderson Cancer Research Center and Solution Innovation Partner panelists, Appriss, DarkWeb ID, IDENTRIX and Torchstone.
