We are saddened to share Jerry passed away Saturday December 13, 2025.

Jerry’s contributions spanned decades and left a lasting impact on both public service and the private sector. Jerry began his career serving his country and community. As a military veteran and a member of the Detroit Police Department, he rose to the rank of commander, overseeing downtown operations and leading critical initiatives in contingency planning and command post exercises. His dedication and courage were recognized with the Detroit Police Department Medal of Valor—an honor that speaks to his character and commitment.

Following his retirement from law enforcement, Jerry transitioned seamlessly into corporate security leadership as Senior Manager for International and Special Security Operations at Chrysler Corporation. His vision and expertise shaped industry standards, most notably through the development of a corporate-wide Crisis Management Plan that became a benchmark for the automotive industry. His insights were sought globally, and he represented Chrysler at major conferences, sharing best practices that influenced security and crisis management worldwide.

Jerry’s academic achievements, a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.A. in Public Administration, underscored his commitment to lifelong learning. He continued to advance the field through partnerships with Michigan State University and the Department of Homeland Security, contributing to critical incident planning and public-private sector collaboration.

His professional affiliations, including service on the executive board of the U.S. State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council and leadership roles in respected associations, reflect the trust and respect he earned throughout his career.

Jerry was a consummate professional—strategic, disciplined, and deeply committed to excellence. His work safeguarded communities, strengthened organizations, and set standards that endure today. We are grateful for his contributions and proud to have called him a colleague.
